The Stars Align to Protect Those Who Protect Themselves

From actors to politicians, most people in India can be seen wearing rings with auspicious stones to boost their fortune. A pearl controls temper, a cat’s eye wards off the evil eye, yellow sapphire activates Jupiter’s wish-fulfilling powers. And then there are rings that help you find the perfect mate or become irresistible to the opposite sex.

Our protagonist is no exception to such superstitious beliefs. But it is his friend who warns him of the perils of becoming a chick-magnet and contracting STIs, HIV and even having to deal with unwanted pregnancies. Like a good friend, he cautions his buddy and provides him with a solution: A ’ring’ or a condom, which will help protect him and allow him to control his own destiny.
